3 Interesting Usages of AI in Daily Life - Part 2

Let's continue with the second part of my research paper.

For example, Eric Rosenbaum from CNBC declared in his article (2019) that IBM has developed an AI technology that allows them to forecast possible resignations of their employees with a 95 percent accuracy rate by considering different inputs. So, IBM is able to catch its workers before they left. Rosenbaum added that IBM CEO Ginny Rometty stated that this technology saved them nearly $300 million in retention costs. This implies that AIs vision is advanced enough to understand humans better than other humans.

Samantha Cole from Popular Science stated in her article (2019) that a team from Microsoft which is researching AI, reached an important point on speech recognition software using the open-source Computational Network Toolkit. Microsoft Team indicates that recognition of their program is 5.9 percent of fail, which equals to a professional transcriptionist. Cole adds that if the development of AI assistants’ progresses at this rate, it is inevitable for people to have more contact with AI in the near future. *

An article from Popular Science which written by Mary Beth Griggs (2019) shows that recently generated algorithm by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)'s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) is able to guess people's forthcoming acts, even if they didn't intend yet, with 43 percent accuracy which is 71 percent for a regular human. Griggs also added that the result is satisfactory comparing with any other attempt. To create a unique and various collection of data, many different TV shows were watched to the AI algorithm. The author lastly states that this algorithm can inform the authorities about potentially dangerous situations before they happen.**
